85 Percent of What We Worry About Never Happens!

With a new year quickly approaching most people will reflect and take stock of their life. Part of this process involves making plans for 2017. When making your plans don’t fall into the trap of letting your limiting beliefs limit your potential success…

Five hundred years ago, Michel de Montaigne said: “My life has been filled with terrible misfortune; most of which never happened.” Now there’s a study that proves it. This study looked into how many of our imagined calamities never materialize.

Subjects were asked to write down their worries over an extended period of time and then identify which of their imagined misfortunes did not actually happen. Lo and behold, it turns out that 85 percent of what people worried about never happened, and with the 15 percent that did happen, 79 percent of subjects discovered either they could handle the difficulty better than expected, or the difficulty taught them a lesson worth learning. This means that 97 percent of what you worry over is not much more than a fearful mind punishing you with limiting beliefs, exaggerations and misconceptions.

Being a better you in 2017 will take some work and commitment but it is entirely possible if you believe that you can do it.

Think and Grow Rich Earl Nightingale – Napoleon Hill

As the resident know it all I have to share the source of some of my knowledge. First and foremost it is my Grandmother, next in line would be this book. PLEASE don’t read the title and think that it is all about money or material things. Napoleon Hill was a man of Charector and integrity. We could use Men like him nowadays.

If sharing this impacts just one person in the way it has me, I’ve left behind a legacy. THAT is how amazing this book truly is. Enjoy and PAY IT FORWARD. (http://www.iknowalotofstuff.com)

OVERVIEW
Think and Grow Rich has been called the “Granddaddy of All Motivational Literature.” It was the first book to boldly ask, “What makes a winner?” The man who asked and listened for the answer, Napoleon Hill, is now counted in the top ranks of the world’s winners himself. This book is the first to popularize “The Law of Attraction.”

The most famous of all teachers of success spent “a fortune and the better part of a lifetime of effort” to produce the “Law of Success” philosophy that forms the basis of his books and that is so powerfully summarized in this one.

In the original Think and Grow Rich, published in 1937, Hill draws on stories of Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and other millionaires of his generation to illustrate his principles.

MEET THE AUTHOR
Napoleon Hill was born in 1883 in Virginia and died in 1970 after a long and successful career as a lecturer, an author, and as a consultant to business leaders.
