If you didn’t do it this year you probably won’t do it next year…

procrastination

That might sound really negative but hear me out. One of my favorite quotes is.. “where ever you go, there you are”. That is to say, you must change yourself and not just your environment, or in this case the page on a calendar if you want your life to change.

For most of my career I have worked with small business owners and entrepreneurs. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that there are two types of people, DOERS and TALKERS.

Don’t let procrastination steal another year of your life…

Doers tend to have ideas, plan and execute those plans. They evaluate the outcomes and make adjustments as needed. The key is, they DO SOMETHING! They fail a lot but they also have wins along the way. They learn from their mistakes and move on.

Talkers on the other hand seem to get stuck at the planning stage. They always have an excuse. They need more data or more help or the right conditions. Six months later they are still planning, they never execute. They don’t fail simply because they never start.

“Talking is the halfway point between an idea and an action”

Are you a doer or a talker? More importantly, which one do you want to be 2017? There is no moral high ground in being a doer or a talker, the world needs both. My question is, are you happy with what you are? If you find yourself re-writing the same New Year’s Resolutions year after year, maybe you should consider making 2017 the year that you take action. Be the person you were created to be. Fulfill your purpose. Get out of your own way and allow yourself to try.

Ask yourself..“What would I do if I knew that I couldn’t fail?” – Doing that one thing just might change your life!
